1ST YEAR GIRLS CAMP HIKE

I HATE CAMPING AND I HATE HIKING!!!!!!
When I was called into Young Women's it was a complete shock. I hadn't been in my previous calling for very long and so when I was asked to serve in the Young Women's I was excited until it hit me, GIRLS CAMP. I grew up with a dad that loves scouting, hunting and camping. I also grew up with a mother that was Stake Girls Camp leader for a LOT of years. Me on the other hand feels like we went camping when we stay in the 800 sq. foot Parowan house, with one bathroom. My husband loves to camp and says the Lord called me to this calling so that I would learn to enjoy camping and therefore want to go with him more often. Little did he know that the Lord WAS NOT thinking about him because this year there is no camping at this Girls Camp!!! We get to head to Salt Lake City and enjoy the Church sites. I figured I was safe, until I was asked to go on the 1st year hike. I enjoyed being with the new Beehives, but yet again I did not enjoy the 2 miles up the mountain only to find that there was still way to much snow and the river bed we were supposed to hike up was actually a full river of water.
