HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Our Halloween started on Friday with our stake Track-or-Treat. We had a stake activity at the park were the kids went along the track and got candy. It was a lot of craziness and too many kids, but the kids had a great time and got lots of candy. Then Saturday we made our rounds around Las Vegas to see all the great-grandparents and then headed over to my mother-in-laws ward Trunk-or-Treat. I always enjoy going to hers because there are so many friends over there I haven't seen sense the last Halloween Trunk-or-Treat.

MEETING HARLEE

Because of the Swine Flu Centennial Hospital changed there policy on children coming to the hospital right before Jessica delivered. In no way was I concerned about the kids coming to the hospital, but Jessica on the other hand was not happy. I truly think she was more excited for Rylan and Paislee to meet Harlee than she was to meet her herself. I took the kids to Jessica's house Friday and my were they so excited to meet her. Paislee's mothering skills took effect right way.

OCTOBER THOUGHTS

WARNING!!! I am in no way a writer so please understand I am blogging about this because I want it for my records. I need to put some perspective on so many random thoughts I have had tonight.

Back in July I was looking at a calendar with my sister Julie. I had My sister-in-law on my cell phone and Julie had my sister Jessica on her cell phone and we were planning baby showers and bridal showers and wedding dates along with when baby's were tentatively to be born. I knew in July the months of September and October were going to be full. I was excited for the joy that I knew those two months would bring. September was wonderful. We had two bridal showers, a baby shower and Jordan and I celebrated 5 years of marriage. Then came October. There are so many things that made me truly reflect in my life. First came a beautiful wedding for time and all eternity. It was so wonderful to watch my sister-in-law start a new adventure in her life. To watch her take the first step in her eternal life and family. She choose a man that honors his priesthood, that has parents that led and guided their children in the church, she chose a man that any parent would be happy to see their daughter with.

Next came another baby shower. We were able to share joy with family and friends as we rejoiced at Julie's first child about to enter into this world.

Then came my parents 29th wedding anniversary. 29 years of being someones companion. My parent's have true love. I have watched as they have had struggles. Whether it be financially, with one of us children, our extended family, or just plain disagreements they are united. The pure love they have for one another is truly beautiful. Words can not express the example they have been to me and my marriage.

Then came tragedy. A family that we have known for many years lost their son whom was 24 years old. He was so young and so full of life and lived each day to the fullest. This young man was the definition of love one another. He loved to serve anyone he could and although he was only on earth a short 24 years he was loved by anyone that knew him. When Jordan told me what had happened to him we sat together and shared so many thoughts. One thing that kept coming to my mind is there must be so much work to be done in heaven. This is the second young man that we know personally that has been taken from his earthly family to go serve the lord in heaven. Such good strong healthy young men. I tried really hard to not to ask the lord why? Why the young why two men that never had the joy of getting married or having children? But I am not perfect and so as Jordan and I talked I found myself starting to get selfish and ask why? That night as I laid in bed I could not get my mind off the service that these two friends were doing. I know why, the lord took two of my friends because these two boys knew how to love and to make people feel special. They were chosen to make people in heaven feel that love and friendship that we here were able to feel on earth.

For the last 2 years August to the end of October has become a time for me to really sit down and thank Heavenly Father for my family. A very dear friend of mine lost her little boy at the end of October. As I sat at lunch with her this week trying to be a good friend and listen when I needed to listen and talk when I thought she needed to hear something from my heart I couldn't help but notice how at peace she is. There is not a dought in her mind she will see her son again. I know she has times when her heart aches to hold her son in her arms, what mother wouldn't, but I also know she is blessed with the knowledge of an eternal family. I am so thankful for the gospel. I am thankful for my husband and the life he is now choosing to live. He is a worthy priesthood holder, he enjoys going to the temple with me and I can not express the love that has grown between the two of us in these last 7 months.

Again I am so for the craziness of this blog!

PUMPKIN TIME

This year with Jessica being in the hospital the week before Halloween I think my mom completely forgot about carving pumpkins. So Wednesday about 4pm I decided to make some soup and have everyone come over for pumpkin carving. Paislee was not loving the pumpkin guts and Rylan couldn't get enough of poking holes in the pumpkins!
Uncle Jake what is this crap?!?!

CAN YOU TAKE MY SHIRT OFF MOMMY?

Now that I am staying home with my children I am truly learning the mischief my children like to get in. While I was sitting at my desk this morning Rylan came in and asked me to take his shirt off. I didn't think much of it because he was still in his pajamas and I just thought he was getting a little warm. Well about 30 seconds later Paislee came in and asked me to take her pajama dress off. Yet again not thinking much of it because she loves to wear brother's cloths sooo I was thinking she wanted to put brother's shirt I just took off of him on her. Well I knew something was up when she said no and went running off. I turned around at my desk to get up and see what they were up to when I found this:

Rylan told me he was trying to get the fish to chase his hand!!! As I was telling him to please get his hands out of the nasty fish water I couldn't help but laugh.

HARLEE MARIE BOEBERT

Harlee is here!!!! Jessica went into the doctor Friday and our oh so loving doctor (we all see the same wonderful doctor) told her in the nicest way he knows how she was huge and looked miserable. He had her get an ultra sound that told him the baby was 8.5 pounds. With the baby being that big he wanted to get her started. Jessica was not dilated and really wasn't ready but he didn't want the baby getting much bigger. Jessica checked into the hospital Monday night and of course her cervix wasn't ready so she had to have some sort of medicine injected into her for 6 hours, then they would start the pitocin. Once the pitocin started things moved very slowly. She was at a 3 forever. Then she made it to a 4 and things really stared rolling! She made it to an 8 in under 5 hours. Then the problems began. Jessica's birth canal was not big enough for the baby. After 3 hours of her trying to get her head out. They decided to go ahead and do the c-section. Harlee came at 6:20pm. She was 7 pounds 4 ounces (the ultra sound was a little off) and 21 inches long. She has a head full of straight dark hair! Jessica is doing great and so is Harlee. She hadn't had her bath yet!

BABY SHOWER

I promise you are not reading the same post twice, I just gave my second baby shower this month! Jessica is due October 30th and Julie is due December 5th. We wanted to give Julie her shower before the holidays started and Jessica had her baby. Julie's shower turned out very nice. I was not sure how it would turn out because I surely sent out 90, yes that's right 90 invitations. I have a pretty big house but no way could I have 90 people here. I would say there were probably about 50 people that came through out the day. We did an open house so that we wouldn't be to crowed. At one point there was a line to get in the house, but it did turn out good I feel. She got a lot of cute little girl things and it was so fun to see people we hadn't seen in a while. I love hosting parties, I want everything to be perfect and I am pretty sure I drive my husband banana for about 24 hours until the party starts!!!

AUNT PEGGY

My children have a lot of Aunts. I have 3 sisters and Jordan has 1. My kids love each of them and have a special bound with them all. But then there is Aunt Peggy!!! Peggy is my mom's sister and actually their great-aunt. Since the moment Rylan was born he has just loved Aunt Peggy. I think it is because she is so much like my mom and goes out of her way to make sure she says hi to Rylan and give him some extra attention. Well now Paislee has caught on that Aunt Peggy is great. Rylan has never like ties, and I have never pushed it because I am claustrophobic and would freak out with something around my neck like that. Well Aunt Jenn just got married and it was not easy to get him to wear his tie, but he did do it. Well now Aunt Peggy made him his very own Halloween tie and he loves it. He loved all the spiders all over the tie and told me how much his primary teacher was going to like his tie. THANKS AUNT PEGGY!!!! *Please notice that the bottom of the tie is missing a spider because he is not used to ties and between putting it in his mouth and playing with it by the end of church he has rubbed off the spider!!!

NO SHE IS NOT PRAYING

Paislee has started to pout. As Paislee was yelling my name and snapping her fingers (oh yes she snaps at you if you aren't paying attention to her) to get my attention I turn the corner to find her like this. I can not believe how much attitude this little girl has. She was pouting because I didn't come fast enough! I joke that she was born with attitude but it really is not a joke. From the moment she was born she has let us know she is in charge now. It is quit funny how she is telling Rylan what to do and he just rolls his eyes at her and does the opposite.

PUMPKINS

Every year we take the kids over to Gilcrease Ranch and let them pick their own pumpkins. Each year the pumpkins very in size. Last year there just weren't any pumpkins and this year there were a ton, but they were not on the vines and almost looked like someone bought them and placed them all over the orchards. Plus all the vegetables looked horrible. I am not loving Gilcrease anymore. The kids did have fun and I guess that's what matters. They each picked there pumpkin and a few for grandma.

GROWING UP

Two nights ago Rylan asked me how to write a few different letters. I know my mom had been working on teaching him the letters in his name, so we worked for a few minutes but it just wasn't working. I told him I would get him a book tomorrow and we would work on his letters. As soon as we got home yesterday he wanted to work in his letter book. I was working on dinner so dad sat down with him. Dang, my little boy is growing up. As I watched him drawing the lines and telling his dad what animals start with what letter it really hit me. He will be 5 in January and I am not really sure were these 4 1/2 years have gone. I know I have missed so much having to work full time this last year, but I guess I really didn't realize just how much I had missed. I am so thankful to my mother and mother-in-law for taking time out of their week to watch my children. I know that these women are just as much responsible as I am for how wonderful my children are turning out. After working in his book for an hour Rylan was ready to go play again. I was very impressed that he could sit for that long and enjoyed writing out each letter. It is just a little more real that he is ready for school. Watch out kindergarten here Rylan come and he is going to know how to write his letters!

JENNIFER & JEFF

It is official Jennifer and Jeff were married Saturday. They were married in the Draper Temple and it was a beautiful day. The night of the reception was freakin freezing, but everything turned out wonderful. Jennifer worked her butt off to make everything just right, and it was. They are now spending the week in Cancun and then heading back to Vegas to do it all over again. They are having a ring ceremony and reception here in Las Vegas on Saturday.

We drove up Wednesday night and spent Thursday at the hotel. The kids were so excited to go swimming.

Saturday after everything was over we decided to head up to Park City. We thought we deserved a little fun. The kids had a blast on the slides.

We decided that Rylan was big enough to do the trampoline. We hasn't quite big enough to do flips, but he still had a great time jumping
