MEMORIAL FUN

We took the kids Thursday night and headed for Parown, UT for Memorial Weekend. I could not believe how much fun the kids had. We went into Cedar Friday and then just hung out around the house waiting for everyone else to come. It was so nice to just enjoy the weather. Saturday we went on the usual ride up to Brian Head, about 19 miles. Well this time it wasn't so usual. It was a great ride up to the top, a little cold but not to bad. We went to the Pizza place in Brian Head and as we were getting ready to head back down the mountain it started to rain. Well that only lasted a few minutes and then it started to hail. It was the worst ride I have ever taken. Jordan, Rylan, Paislee and I were all on the same bike, so we were already uncomfortable, plus add in the hail, it was bad. Luckily Paislee fell asleep so I turned her around so our tummys were together and then zipped her into my jacket, so she didn't get cold. Rylan on the other hand had a great time. He was in front of Jordan and was loviong every minute of it. Jordan kept telling him to keep his head down so the hail would just hit his helmet but Rylan let Jordan know that he wanted to catch the hail on his tung. He is such a boy. Once we had about 8 miles left on this joyus ride it just rained, and with the rain came the mud. Here are a few pictures, but it doesn't do justice as to what we looked like.

Yes that is mud all the way up Vaunette's leg!

Sunday we took the kids up to Yankee Meadows. They had so much fun playing in the river.

Paislee was so excited as she walked a around and just collect little sticks, rocks and dandy lions she is growing up way to fast.

This little yellow 4-wheeler has been in my family for 25 years. My mom has pictures of each of us girls on this bike when we were Rylan's age. My father-in-law worked on it for a long time to get it running again. We couldn't get Rylan off of it this weekend.

Once Paislee saw brother having so much fun, she wanted to go too.

By the end of the weekend they would not get off of the 4-wheeler. Paislee just kept telling Rylan she wanted to go again.

DISNEYLAND

This last weekend we had a great time down in Disneyland. We took the kids along with Jordan's parents, my sister Julie and her husband Jake down to play in Disneyland. Jordan's parents had not been there for about thirteen years. It's pretty sad when my 4 year old is telling his grandparents about rides they have never even heard of. We left Thursday afternoon and headed to Rancho Cucamango (that's were Aunt Shauna lives, she has a crazy dog Mojo that Rylan thinks is just great). We got up and headed to Disneyland (about 30 minutes) Friday morning. The kids had so much fun. This was the first year that Rylan got to go on some of the bigger rides. He still says Dumbo is his favorite ride, but I think he liked Splash Mountain a lot. Paislee was in heaven over by Pooh country. She got to see Pooh, Eeyore, and Tigger.

She did so good throughout the day. Every ride she went on she want to go again. After the fire works Julie and I took the kids back to the hotel and the other 4 adults headed off to play Buzz Light Year. It was such a compitition to see who could get the highest points. I think they were able to ride it 5 times between 10:30pm and 12am.

Paislee with Grandpa Bobo

The boys decided to take the kids on the balloon ride. There was no way Julie and I were going on that thing!!!

The next morning we got to sleep in a little and then head over to Disney California. I think the highlight of that trip was going on Raging Rapids. Rylan laughed so hard as Aunt got completely soaked and he was barley wet at all. After Disney California was closed Paislee and Aunt went to bed, Rylan and I went to the swimming pool and of course Jordan, Jake, Vaunette and Bobo headed back to Disneyland for some more Buzz, mind you it was 10:30pm by this time. Bob ended up being the over all winner of the weekend. I think it really killed Jordan that his dad ended up winning.
We headed home Sunday morning so that we could make dinner for my mom for mothers day. We had a great weekend together. To me going to Disneyland just keeps getting better and better. Jordan always grumbles a little when I tell him it's that time of year again. But as you can see he spent more time over there than me and the kids. Both of my children have been to Disneyland every year of their lives. Someone told me I was spoiling my children and I just laughed. Growing up I went to Disneyland twice a year with my family and my moms sisters family. We still sit around and talk about some of those trips. I'm not spoiling my children I am giving them memories that will last a life time.
