28 WEEKS & 12 TO GO

I was just looking over my blog and it said 74 days until your due date. Dang how October and November have flown by. The first 6 months drug on, but not so much anymore. Well let's see what has been going on the last few weeks, when I went to the doctor this month I got in trouble for only gaining 2 pounds so far. My tummy is getting so big I can't imagine your not growing in there. In fact, when you are awake you are constantly kicking me, or elbowing me. So I know you are already running out of room in there. I have a feeling the next few months are going to be fun for the kids to get to feel you pushing around. Just yesterday Rylan got to feel a lump poking out of my tummy. He thought that was pretty cool. I am really starting to get excited to have you join our family. A few days ago as I was driving all by myself (this does not happen very often) I just knew you were waiting to join me. I could feel you so close, I could just imagine your car seat in the back. You still do not have a name. Daddy has been so busy we really haven't had time to talk about it. I have a couple of girl names in mind, but really am stuck when it comes to boy names. Your extend family is going crazy not knowing if you are a boy or girl. Most of the family is thinking you are a boy, but I am still leaning towards a girl. I have had some fun cravings lately. Your dad thinks I am crazy, last week I sent him to the gas station for ice cream and orange juice. I just knew it was what I needed. Your dad thought I would regret putting those two together, but oh no, let me tell you it was so yummy. I have had ice cream and orange juice about 4 times this week. I don't think the doctor is going to have to worry about my weight gain this month. :) I have have also been loving pizza and Mexican food. I still can't have soda, which really is killing me. I drank one a few days ago and yet again I regretted every minute of it about an hour later. Maybe that means you will be my healthy child and stay way from the soda. Well by this week, you weigh about two and a quarter pounds and measure about 14.8 inches from the top of your head to your heels. You can blink your eyes, which now sport lashes. With your eyesight developing, you may be able to see the light that filters in through my womb. You are also developing billions of neurons in your brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world. Your family is anxiously waiting for you to join us here on earth. Every morning as I am cuddling with your sister, she asks if she can cuddle with you when you are born. She also asks if you are awake each night as we lay in bed. She loves to lay her head on my tummy and feel you moving around in their. I know you are being taken good care of by my wonderful grandparents up in heaven, but I hope you know how much we are looking forward to taking care of you down here!
