October was a very busy and stressful month for me. Between being in charge of the kids elementary schools Fall Festival and now being in the Primary Presidency and getting the Primary program ready. I was in need of a much needed vacation! Jordan and I took a trip with my family to Louisiana to visit my Aunt and checkout New Orleans. It was so much fun!
We flew into Baton Rouge Wednesday and had a cajun dinner at Boutin's!
Thursday we took a tour of Houmas House. I really liked this tour and the property was beautiful!
100% Sold silver statue of Abraham Lincoln
Thursday morning we went to the Baton Rouge Temple. It was so special to do sealing with my whole family.
Thursday afternoon we took an air boat tour to see some alligators. We only saw a couple because it was starting to get cold but it was still very fun and I got some cool pictures of the lake.
My Uncle Kevin owns Hola Nola, it is a tortilla plant that seriously makes the best tortilla's. Kevin is the one that comes up with all the recipes and does a great job!
Friday morning we drove through New Orleans where hurricane Katrina hit. It was amazing to me that after 8 years a lot of these houses are still abandoned.
We spent the rest of the day/night in down town New Orleans. We walked and we shopped and we walked. It was a lot of fun just hanging out down there.
These two thought it was fun to take pictures of themselves on my phone.
We had a giant van for the week and there was never a dal moment with my Dad or Jordan behind the wheel.
