AXTAN IS 5 MONTHS

AXTAN AT 5 MONTHS

At 5 months you are:
We didn't go to the doctor this month so I held you on the scale.
17 pounds

June was such a fun month.  You started solids this month.  I was hoping you would start sleeping through the night, but you still need that 2am bottle.  Even though you eat a jar of oatmeal before bed and I put cereal in your bottle before bed.  It is what it is, you are hungry!  You are still drinking about 7 ounces at a time with no problems. The reflux medication has helped so much and now I only give it to you about once a day.  I can defiantly tell when I haven't given it to you though.  You have discovered your voice.  I love the squealing.  I know you just want everyone to know you are here.  I don't see that changing in your life.  You are taking 3 naps a day.  I think you might even be on a schedule.  We have discovered that Rylan is your favorite.  He can make you laugh for hours.  You still light up when daddy comes home, but the best part is how daddy lights up when he sees you too.  You are rolling from your back to tummy and tummy to back.  Your getting better at getting your toys in your mouth.  Your most favorite thing is still your blanket. You cant seem to go to sleep without it near your face.  Your mohawk is now gone.  Your hair was turning into an old man so I shaved your head.  You look so much better.  For the last few doctors appointments the doctor has told me you should be getting teeth any time.  You are drooling like crazy but still no teeth. You are so much fun. Hearing you laugh is such a joy. I truly can't get enough of you!!!  You are getting more and more fun each month.  This month showed me how wonderful you truly are.  We went on a road trip and did a lot of driving for 2 weeks and you were better than your brother and sister.  You are such an easy going baby and I thank you for that.

OXNARD BEACH HOUSE

We spent 2 wonderful weeks in California.  The kids and I left Tuesday, June 21st and headed for Oxnard, CA.  My Uncle rented the most beautiful beach house for our family to stay at.  Needless to say we spent a lot of time on the beach.  Jordan drove down with my dad on Friday, June 24th.  Throughout the weekend we went and picked strawberries, went to the park, toured the potato chip plant and pretty much just played at the beach.  Tuesday, June, 28th Jordan, the kids and I headed north.  We decided to drive the coast until we wanted to stop.  We stopped in Monterey Bay and spent the next day exploring.  When I figured out we were only 110 miles from San Fransisco I knew we had to go.  Thursday, June 30th we spent the day in Sand Fransisco. We drove back to Monterey Bay that night and headed for home the next day.  We decided to sleep in Barstow Friday, July 1st.  The kids and I had enough of the car.  We ended our journey Saturday, July 2.  It was really a great trip.  The kids traveled fairly well and the kids and I loved every minute of having Jordan with us.
Paislee thought it would be fun to write her own name in the sand.  It is hardly there, but it is there!
Axtan did NOT like the sand on his toes
Grandma making a little whole for Axtan to be able to sit up and watch the kids
Axtan was such a great baby.  He just bounced a long with us and never made a fuss!

Look what I did!

The family had a great time making Jordan into a mermaid

Grandma & Grandpa Milford, just enjoying their crazy kids

My brilliant husband thought it would be a good idea to go swimming!  The outside air never got above 68 degrees so I can't imagine how cold the water was.

Touching hands

Rylan's favorite thing to do was cartwheels on the beach
Rylan & Jake caught a lot of little crabs

Nap time

Portlynn wasn't to sure about having sand on her hands

Paislee loved every minute of the beach.  She got a little wet and loved it, she stayed right next to Rylan and had a ball.  She is such a beautiful little girl!
