HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAISLEE

My little baby girl is 3. I am having a hard time with my children getting so old. I'm not sure why but the whole time she was 2 I thought of her as about 18 months. So now 3 is just mind blowing. We just had a small family party over at our house. Both the kids weren't feeling that great so it was nice to just have the family there. Aunt Kati wins for best present in Paislee's eyes. Anytime Paislee sees a preview for a Disney movie that we don't have she tells me, Kati has it. Well she saw Little Mermaid II and called to ask Kati if she had it and surprise surprise Kati did not have that one. Paislee kept telling me Kati will get it for her. If anyone asked Paislee what she wanted for her birthday it was Ariel 2. Aunt Kati came through and got her Ariel 2.

Paislee got a tent and she surely moved it right in front of the TV and was set for the night.

T-BALL

This is the first year we have decided to put Rylan in T-ball. Rylan had his first practice Saturday and it went okay. Yes just okay. He was a great hitter and when he did decide to go get the ball he throw it right where it needed to be. Here is the problem. He is 5 therefore 15 little 5 year old boys chasing 1 ball. Well I should say 14, because Rylan did not chase the ball. At one point he told another kid to go get the ball. He is not lazy he just doesn't see the point of going after a ball that so many other people are chasing. Basically he was board most of practice. I am hoping that once the games start and things are a little more structured he will do better. Needless to say I am a little worried about how well Rylan is going to do in T-ball.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JORDAN

This is the BOY I fell in love with:

This is the MAN I have grown more and more in love with each day:
Jordan turned 27 today. It has been so wonderful to watch him turn into a man. First becoming a husband, then a father and now a worthy Priesthood holder. I could not be more lucky to call him mine! I asked him if he was okay with turning 27, and he said yes but it only gives him 3 more years to make his millions. He has in his mind once he turns 30 the real life begins. Jordan is the hardest worker I know and for this I am so grateful. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

PAISLEE'S REGISTRATION

Well never in my life did I think I would register both my kids for school in the same week. Paislee has had speech difficulties and we have been working with Nevada Early Intervention. Now that she is about to turn three she changes into the school district for help. I am happy that she will be getting to go to school twice a week to work with the speech therapist, but a little sad to already be sending her to school.

LIED DISCOVERY MUSEUM

Today we had the opportunity to join some of my cousins and their children at the Lied Discovery Museum. I hadn't been there sense I was in Elementary school and it really hasn't changed. The kids had a great time and it was so nice to be able to spend time with the girls. I just love these cousins and don't get to see them enough. Rylan and Paislee

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION

Yes I know many of you have been through Kindergarten Registration many of times and now don't even think twice about it, but to me I am a little emotional today. I knew this day was coming but didn't realize it was going to be today until 4 days ago. (It is a good thing I did my visiting teaching last week) We chose not to put Rylan in Pre-school for a lot of different reasons, but mainly cost so this is all so new to me. Kindergarten is going to be a huge step for us. As a hundred different things run through my head today, the biggest one would be; I sure hope I did my job right as a mom and he is ready to go out in the craziness of the Clark County School District.

SPRING

I was talking with a friend a few days ago and she sent me to the cutest blog. The lady on this blog holds a monthly craft night. We decided to start having our own Craft Night. Yes, we gave it a title although their are only two of us. We did this so that it actually happens. We had so much fun laughing and talking. She is a lot more creative than I am so it was nice to have her there for her opinion. This is what we ended up with. I think they turned out pretty darn good! Especially for not really knowing what we were doing.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATILYN

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
Katilyn

Katilyn is the fun and exciting Aunt in my children's lives. Katilyn has lived in Utah for the pretty much my children's whole lives. So when they get to see her it is always the most exciting thing ever! She moved home about 9 months ago but is still working long hours and going to school even more than she is working. It is still so much fun when we get to see Aunt Kati. She has taught my children so many wonderful things about life and for that I am grateful. I think I have the only 2 and 5 year old that have memorized EVERY girls camp song that there is. We love you Katilyn!

BAKING ROLLS

My mother-in-law makes really yummy homemade rolls. A few days back she was making them and they looked so good. I decided I would try and make my own rolls from scratch. I love to cook, but I have never made rolls. For Christmas I received the World Wide Relief Society Christmas Cook Book. I started looking through there to find a good recipe. They are really yummy but I need to learn how to make them look more like crescent rolls and less like big bread blobs!

MOMENTS THAT MAKE IT ALL WORTH IT

Mom's really need those moments that just make you realize it is all worth it. A few days ago Paislee wasn't feeling well and just wanted to snuggle most of the day. I had a few things I really needed to get done before Jordan got home so I told her to sit with Rylan and I would be right back. I got busy and then a friend called and I started talking with her. When I get on the phone with her time really flys by. As I was still on the phone I noticed just how much my children love each other. Rylan let her sleep on him for a good while. Pictures like this say words straight to my heart!

TRYING TO BE CRAFTY

I am so not a crafty person. I am the kind of person that sees something crafty and BUYS IT!!! My husband on the other side sees something crafty and says "I could make that so easy!" He usually is right, he is a very crafty person. Me on the other hand, not so much. We have really been trying to live on a very strict budget, so I am learning to make things I would never in my life think about making.
We will start with the hearts. I bought these hearts about two years ago at Tai Pan. When I bought them I thought about how cute they would be with our names on them. Well, they surely sat in my craft room for the last two years and when I pulled all my Valentine's decorations out I decided it was time.

The church bag! I have really needed a new bag to take to church, but with everything I take, I needed a extra large bag. I found one that was just okay, but it was $60. I couldn't even think about spending that on a bag right now. So, off to Walmart I went. I bought a pattern, material and lining all for under $20. With much help from my mother and much frustration I made my extra large church bag.

Last but certainly just as painful, the plates! I am now in the Young Women's. I have to teach once a month and I am very intimidated by teaching. Sunday was my first lesson and I thought if I give them something really cute they won't remember what a bad teacher I was. So I came up with a quote pulled out the Cricut and went to work.

As you can see I am not the craftiest person, but I am trying. My work is not perfect, but as I do more I start to do better. I can honestly say I do NOT enjoy being crafty, but I do enjoy learning.

STRONG WILLED

I have really been struggling with my beautiful VERY strong willed, Paislee. She is so sweet and at the same time will look you in the eye and lie to you. She is almost three and you would think she was sixteen. If she is going into a room and you turn the light on she turns it back off so that she can turn it back on. She wants no help with anything and it is always her way or no way! I am now in Young Women's and I think our lesson was a direct message to me. She talked about how these girls have been saved to come down to earth at the most trying times. She spoke of how our young women are going to have to be STRONG WILLED so that they can over come the adversary. These girls are going to have to stay close to their Heavenly Father so that they can listen to him and know how to return to him because this world keeps getting worse and worse. I never once thought that I should be grateful for my daughter being so strong willed, I looked at it as Heavenly Father punishing me for all the trouble I gave my parents. Now I look at it as a hugh blessing to know that my daughter as the attributes to overcome this wicked world and return to her Heavenly Father. Sometimes we (I) really need to look at the bigger picture of our struggles to see God's plan for us. He really does know all.

SUPER BOWL

Jordan and I have had the Super Bowl party at our house the last few years. We love having everyone come hangout and it is another excuse to cook lots of fun stuff. This year we decided to do taco's! I asked Cody to throw me a pillow when he was headed up stairs and he ended up thowing down both of our love sacks!!

THERE'S JUST NO WAY

I was feeling a little old when my sweet little boy Rylan turned five. Then today these boys went to their first HIGH SCHOOL dance and I am feeling REALLY old!
This group of boys have been best friends sense Kindergarten, and they were 4 when I went to my first Sadie's dance. There is 12 years between Cody and I and now that Cody is 16 all I can think about is what he was like when I was at his age. My friends just loved him, he was the only 4 year we knew that could hang out with us until midnight or sometimes 1am. My friends and I spent a lot of time at my house and he was always right there. He never missed anything and the truth is we all loved him hanging around. I am so glad that Cody love's High School as much as I did. Cody and his girlfriend, Breezy were broken up for a little while and so his friend Katlyn asked him to Sadie's before he decided he just loved Breezy so much!
