RYLAN IS 5!!!!

I truly have no clue where these five years have gone. I can't believe how grown up Rylan is becoming. This year Rylan wanted to invite a few of his friends to his birthday party so we brought Grandma Zip's bouncy house over and set it up in our formal living room. The kids had a blast with it in the house. With me being new to actual birthday parties I thought it would be fun to have a pinata, instead of doing goody bags for the kids. Not really thinking that it would be cold and dark out side, well I figured that out real fast and we moved the pinata inside!

We had to have cousin Jordan give it a good hit to get the candy out of it!

Earlier in the day Katilyn and Grandma came over to give Rylan a few surprises.BAKUGAN sheets!!!

Rylan was so anxious for Dad to get home so he could open his presents!

DISNEY ON ICE

Wednesday night I surprised Rylan and Paislee and took them to see Disney on Ice. I was a little worried about taking them both by myself, but they were way to excited to cause any trouble!!! The excitement Rylan had as we walked into the Thomas & Mack was the best feeling ever. Paislee kept asking if we were at Disneyland. (With all the vender's you would have thought so) It was a great night and the show was really good. Earlier in the day I told them we were going to go bowling. It didn't take long for Rylan to figure out that we weren't going bowling. He was guessing all the way there what we were doing. He was not happy to not know what was going on. He must get that from his dad!!!
Silly me thought the show started at 7pm and it really started at 7:30 so we were about an hour early, but they sure didn't care.

Minnie, Micky, Goofy & Donald

My favorite was Cars!

Timon & Pumba, Lion King

Sebastian, Little Mermaid

They also had Tinkerbell and the Fairy's but Paislee had to go to the bathroom, twice in that part so I didn't get any pictures.

URGENT CARE

Sunday nights at my moms are never a dull occasion. Last Sunday Uncle Jake and Uncle Cody started to get feisty. They started to wrestle and of course Rylan had to get right in the middle of it all. Jake ended up rolling his entire 225 pound body onto Rylans 5 pound foot. Rylan cried for a minute and then went back to playing so I really didn't think much about it until he woke up at 4 am in pain. You would think a good mother would have taken him to the doctor Monday morning, well not me. I let him keep walking on it until Friday when he was crawling around the house instead of using his foot. Yes I know, there will not be any mother of the year awards coming my way. Luckily he just has a really bad sprain and he should be using it so it doesn't get stiff. He is still not using the foot like the doctor told him to, but at least I know it isn't broken!!!

TO INFINITY AND BEYOND

Rylan has always liked Disney's Toy Story, I wouldn't say it is a favorite but he likes it. Well my children were in desperate need of pajamas, so on Black Friday Jordan and I went to Walmart and got some pajamas for both Rylan and Paislee. We got Rylan a pair of Buzz pajamas and because the choices were limited I got Paislee a pair of Woody pajamas. Boy was I in trouble. You would have thought Paislee's world was crashing down on her. She was so upset that she didn't have Buzz pajamas. Luckily they had Buzz pajamas at Kohl's when I was there the next day. How was I supposed to know she loved the Buzz so much?!? The problem now is that Rylan doesn't like to match his sister. This was a very rare event to have them both wearing their Buzz pajamas last night!

Please excuse her hair, she had it in pigtails that day!

BICYCLE ADVENTURES

Jordan and I were more excited to give Rylan his bike for Christmas this year than Rylan was to get it. He didn't hardly acknowledge that the bike was sitting under the tree let alone wanting to get on the bike. For a little boy who can not spend enough time outside, we were pretty disappointed that he was not excited. Once Christmas was over and the new toys just weren't as great as the day before he started to get on the bike. Before I knew it I had black skid markers all over my kitchen. He was definitely into the bike. Thursday after spending the the afternoon over at the park he wanted the training wheels OFF! I was a little worried about this because it had only been a week that he truly had ever ridden a bike. Once daddy got home the first thing Rylan did was ask him to take the training wheels off. So off they came!!! Jordan spent about an hour in the cult-a-sack with him. I couldn't believe, first that my husband was so patient with Ryland and second, that Rylan was actually doing really good. He has practiced a few times and is getting to the point were we might be ready to venture out of the cult-a-sack.

Paislee wanted a turn too!!!

GOODBYE 2009 HELLO 2010

I would like to happily say good bye to 2009! 2009 was an incredibly humbling year for me. Jordan lost his job for the second time in March, and I lost mine in May. I was lucky to find a new job very quickly and it has turned out to be a very big blessing. Jordan has had a few side jobs and ended up spending the whole summer in Utah working. It is crazy how you can go from feeling like you have enough to live nicely to having no money and yet still feel like you have it all. With that I would like to say good bye to 2009. Dear 2009, Thank you for giving me the experiences my life truly needed, thank you for teaching me how to live with not much and yet truly learn to love. Thank you for teaching me to trust in the lord. Thank you for teaching me patience and what is important. Thank you for letting me grow in these experiences without regret. However 2009, we must part ways taking from you what I learned and moving forward with surety of FAITH that I know I have the best in my life, and yet I have so much to look forward to! Please 2010 please be nicer to my family. I am just not to sure how much more I can take!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME

My birthday is something I make sure does not get over looked. Yet, for some reason I am just not to excited about it this year. My 27th birthday was not an easy one for me. 27 was way to far away from 20 and way to close to 30! So now that 28 is here it just seems to be another year to me. As I look toward 28 this is what I am seeing.

28
Twenty-freakin-eight.
(For posterity's sake)
As I am slowly approaching the last of my twenties, I AM:
A mother of 2 children under 5.
A wife to Jordan.
Working at home as an Insurance agent and assistant to Robert.
Living in a house on Melissa Meadows.
Living with 3 dogs and a hamster and also lots fish.
Driving a Toyota Sequoia.
Trying to make dinner at least three times a week.
Growing out my hair.
Still struggling with a bedtime for my 2 children.
Living in a constant state of chaos.
Happy that I have people to care for my children. And me at times.
Always forgetting things.
Very much awaiting our vacation to the Virgin Islands in August.

Enjoying every minute of being a stay at home mother. (Well most of every minute)
This is what 28 looks like for me.

FOOD SAVER

My mother-in-law gave me the best Christmas gift this year. I received a food saver! I have really been trying to use my coupons and get my food storage built up, but I notice my food wasn't lasting quite as long as I needed it to. So tonight I started going through my pantry. I got out fruit snacks, marshmallow's, nut clusters, sunflower seeds and M&M's. It was so fun to get everything canned. I am just hoping now my food will last a little longer!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEFF

This post is only 2 days late! Jeff joined our crazy Coache clan in October and boy are we happy to have him. The kids absolutely love their Uncle Jeff. He is so good to take time to play with them. So we couldn't let his 28th birthday pass by without acknowledging how wonderful we think he is! This picture was taken in May and Jeff was learning how fun trail riding with Bob is!

I can not express enough my gratitude for my father-in-law. He has help open so many doors for our little family. With out his love and generosity I'm not sure were we would be. These are just a couple of pictures of Bob doing what he loves!

CHRISTMAS AFTERNOON

Well Santa ended up leaving a present at Grandma Zips house for the kids.
A GIANT BASKETBALL JUMPER!!!! Breezy & the kids! The kids got Jeff & Jenn in there too!GO JENN!!!

I had to add this picture in because I wanted to show how wonderful it is yet again to have Jordan's family feel so welcome at my parents that we can all spend Christmas afternoon together!
