BALD AND BEAUTIFUL

My sweet little Paislee has never had much for hair. She is blond so what she does have doesn't even look like it is there. She received Jordan's curly hair so I started to put some gel in it to at least make what she does have stand out a little. The problem was that she only has hair on the top so she looked funny. My hair stylist (Aunt Julie) decide she needed a little off the top. So Paislee got her first hair cut although she doesn't have any hair. I did keep the few stands she cut off.

THE NEVER ENDING KITCHEN

So I just realized I never showed picture of the kitchen now that the granite is in. It looks so good. Brian and his guys did such a good job. Now the only problem is the color on the walls looks like baby poo. We have chosen a new color but right now I don't think either of us have the motivation to start painting again. So MAYBE someday my kitchen will be complete.

Jordan and Rylan were hard at work on my pantry. Rylan got to hammer in all the drywall screws. He just loves to work beside his dad.

ANOTHER WEEKEND AWAY

This last weekend the kids and I drove up to Ogden, UT with my mother-in-law and sister-in-law. Jordan's grandparents live up there and it had been awhile so we decided to go. We left Thursday night and returned home Sunday. It was a long drive for the kids, but they didn't do to bad. Rylan defiantly did better than Paislee. She just hates to be restrained no matter for how long so 7 hours is just to much for her. Each trip is getting a little better though. We went to a place called the Tree House. It was kind of like a giant Discovery Museum, but better.

SPEED RUN

Last weekend we jumped in the car and went to New Harmony, UT. A friend of my dad's was putting on a rodeo/fall carnival. The kids had a great time. The whole day was so nice, we just had a very relaxing time playing by the river, riding horses and enjoying each other. Rylan insisted on riding the horse with out Grandpa Mark holding onto him.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Prior to Halloween we did our pumpkin carving. We had everyone over, due to the fact that my mom left town. We all carved away. Well Jake had to work and Rylan just had to save uncle Jake's pumpkin for him, so the next night Jake and Julie came over and we carved pumpkins again.

Halloween was a lot of fun. We started the night or I should say day at my mom's getting the kids ready. We then took them over to Jordan's grandparents. Then off to Jordan's parents. We finally ended up at our wards Trunk-or-Treat. Rylan really got the hang of it, while Paislee wanted to just stop and eat the candy after each person put it in her bucket.

Paislee thought it would be cute to play in the dirt before we went to our trunk-or-treat.

DON'T TOUCH MY SISTER

I was getting a little discouraged because the kids had been fighting more than the usual little toy tiffs. Rylan would not share any of his toys with Paislee nor did he even want her in his room. So last Friday after we took Paislee to her checkup my mom met us at McDonald's. The kids were having so much fun going in and out of the play pin tubes, then I looked up and Rylan was telling this little boy not to touch his little sister. The boy was trying to push Paislee and Rylan hit the boy and told him again not to touch his sister. My mom crawled up the tubes and stopped the fighting but I could not get to mad at Rylan for hitting this little boy when he was pushing HIS LITTLE SISTER. After all was said and we were driving home I was just relieved to see that Rylan does love her and will protect her from any little bully.

PUMPKIN HUNTING

Last weekend we took the kids to Gillcrease Ranch to look for pumpkins. Jordan and Rylan were determined to find a pumpkin big enough to put Paislee in. Needless to say they never found one. We were just happy to find one big enough to even carve. My mom and I have taken Rylan there every Halloween, so it was fun to have Jordan come this year. I don't know who had more fun the kids or Jordan.

OUR HONEYMOON, FINALLY!

Jordan and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary September 18th. We never took a honeymoon, so after 4 years and two children, this year we decided it was time. I have always wanted to go to New York and when Jordan found out it was the last year for the original Yankee Stadium he was ready to go. We left Las Vegas on the red eye Thursday, September 11th, yes I know flying into New York on September 11th is not the best idea but we figured when we left Las Vegas it would be September 12th in New York. We spent 5 1/2 days in New York City. We stayed with Jordan's dad's cousin. He lives in Rutherford, New Jersey, just on the other side of the bridge. We took the bus into the city each day. We had the most amazing time. We did all the tourist things.

Yankee's Stadium. This stadium was so cool. It is old yet to know all the history there. As we sat and watched batting practice to think that Babe Ruth played right here in front of us, was a great feeling. In the 7th inning like always they sang God Bless America. That brought tears to my eyes. There is just something about hearing that song in Yankee Stadium.

New York City Temple

Jordan and I almost walked right past the Temple not knowing that it was there. It looks just like any other building when walking past it. It was a cafe and a museum right next to the entrance to the front door.

Jordan and I took a pedi-cab ride through Central Park. That was one of my most favorite things we need there. The fountain from the beginning of the show "Friends"

We were on Wall Street when the Stock Market crashed. Let me just tell you there where not very many people with smiles on their faces.

We went to see the Broadway play Wicked. It was so good. I was a little bit worried that Jordan would hate it but he really liked it. We would both highly recommend it. Thanks, Kellie

Jordan was very excited to see this bull. He said that it was put here and no one knows who placed it in the middle of the street.

This is the Naked Cowboy! We were in Time Square everyday and never saw him. On our last day there he was finally there.

Elise Island

My mom's grandmother came through Elise Island. Last Christmas my mom's family paid to have her name put on the wall. Jordan and I were the first people from our family to go see her name there.

We went to the Top pf the Rock. The Rock, is actually Rockefeller Center. We chose to go up there in stead of the Empire State Building. It was pretty cool to see the whole valley.

Ground Zero. There is just a giant whole in the ground. The new towers should be done in 2012.

For those of you that may or may not know I have a little bit of a Coke Slurpee addiction. I am not afraid to use that word. I am addicted. The first day I was there I ask a police officer, because there are 3 on every corner, no joke, if there was a 7-eleven anywhere close. He told me that there was not one on Manahtin. I was so sad because we drove by a 7-eleven every day on the bus, but could not stop. My wonderful husband went into every Burger King trying to get me a coke Slurpee, but yet no Burger King's had there Slurpee machines working. NOT ONE. So on our last day there we were going down to the ocean to take a cruise around the island and as we were walking there it was. Two blocks from where we were everyday a 7-eleven. I was so mad at that stupid police officer. I was so excited so when I came out my husband thought he would be cute and take my picture.

Wednesday we headed up to Cooperstown, NY. We went to the baseball hallafame Thursday. It was pretty cool to see all the history. I loved reading about the fields.

Jordan and I drove up to Palmyra, NY on Thursday. We did all the church history stuff. We both enjoyed the Sacred Grove a lot. The feelings you have there are definitely over whelming.

Friday night we drove into Canada and stayed in Niagara Falls. The falls weren't quite what I was expecting. Jordan got us a room overlooking the falls, that was just beautiful. We slept we are window cracked so we could here them all night.

Saturday after we were done in Niagara Falls we drove back to Buffalo, NY and took an early flight home Sunday. It was 10 full days of fun. We had a great time. We defiantly missed the kids and where thankful to my sister and her husband for stepping in and staying with them for 10 days.
