OUR GARDEN

This year in Young Women's our Young Women's president felt very strongly that the girls needed to learn how to grow a garden. She asked all the girls to plant something, whether it be one little pot on the porch or a whole garden in the back yard. She felt it was important for the girls to learn how to become self sufficient in these time. Jordan and I have tried a few years for a garden and last year was the best we had done, and all we really got was A VERY LOT of cherry tomatoes. This year I am hoping that we will do much better. We planted purple onions, yellow onions, green onions, golden bell peppers, radishes, lettuce, carrots, artichoke, cherry and big tomatoes, cucumber, zucchini squash, parsley, chives, and dill. I was amazed we got all that and only spent $26. Wish us luck because I am hoping we can use this food all summer. We will hopefully be getting a lemon tree soon also.

RYLAN'S FIRST T-BALL GAME

Rylan's first T-ball game was Friday night. It was so cute to watch the little boys out there trying their best. Rylan hit really well and he played short stop the whole game. I am proud to say that he currectly ran from home to 1st base instead of 3rd like a few other kids did.

PORTLYNN

We had the opportunity to watch Portlynn yesterday for about 7 hours. I don't know who had more fun, the kids or me. She was so good and I was still able to get a lot done around the house. I am always worried that three children would be way to over whelming. I am happy to say I think I can handle it.

3 MORE PROJECTS

The Beehives gave a surprise baby shower to one of the other advisers in the young women's so I decided to try the diaper cake again. I did a few things different this time. I think it turned out better than the last. It was a little difficult because she did not find out the sex of the baby so I couldn't do a few things that I like to do, but it still was cute. My sister thought we could get creative and make cute hair bows. I finally got brave enough to try them and I think we did a good job. I feel stupid for how easy they really were to make. Paislee is loving the new flowers. We had our third Craft Night last week. I am loving how cute everything turns out. We made Easter Eggs that I have to thank my wonderful husband for taking the time to cut out for us.

My sister-in-law was saying she didn't have any spring decorations for her house so I made her a set of eggs for her birthday! By the way Jenn, yours are in the mail!!!

DIFFERNECE OF OPINION

Jordan and I feel the same way about a lot of things in life. I can honestly say that Jordan and I get a long really well. There is just one thing that I am sure we will NEVER see eye to eye on. We will always have a difference of opinion on this one subject:
This is what Jordan loves:
This is what Holly loves:

Yes I can say the snow is beautiful when I look out the window at it from inside a very warm house. I can say that there is defiantly a need for the snow. BUT I can also honestly say there is no need for me to ever be out in the snow. I feel very comfortable saying I hate the snow and everything about being cold! My husband on the other hand loves the snow and would spend every waking minute on the mountain snowboarding if we had the money. I do not mind one bit that he likes to go snowboarding, I just don't want to join him.

SPEED RUN

With it being Jenn's birthday we decided to head up to Parowan and spend the day with her. We left late Monday afternoon and came home late Tuesday night. Jenn is always so good to come to Vegas for the kids birthdays, we thought it was our turn to come see her. We had dinner at Jenn & Jeff's house and then spent the night in the Yellow House (Parowan). When we woke up the front yard was covered in snow. Jordan just had to take the kids tubing. I did not bring any snow clothing for the kids so needless to say we were all VERY cold. Once are adventures were done we came back to Jenn's to spend some more time with them. We had dinner and then headed back to Vegas. It was a very quick trip but well worth the family time.Dinner with the family
Jordan insisted that I go down the hill at least once with him!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JENNIFER

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNT JENN. Jenn is turning 25 today and feeling old. I keep trying to tell her 25 is no where near old, just wait until she is 28!!! I have been so lucky to have Jenn as my sister-in-law. I feel like I have really been able to watch her grow up these last 10 years. Going from an awkward 15 year old girl into a beautiful 25 year old women. I have been so lucky to have not only a great friend but another sister.

BARBIE CAKE

I decided because Paislee wasn't going to have a big party like we did with Rylan I wanted to make her a special birthday cake. I was a little nervous so my mom came over to give me a few pointers. The cake turned out cute and Paislee loved everything about it.
