ROAD TRIP

After spending eight weeks taking care of our wonderful children on my own, I decided it was okay to head up to South Jordan for my sister-in-law's bridal shower WITH NO CHILDREN! My mother-in-law and I drove up Friday morning. We were able to do some shopping in Provo and then met up with Jennifer and Jeff to go choose a cake for the wedding. We then drove into South Jordan and stayed with Jeff's family. Jeff's parents have quite an amazing garden going on in their back yard. Due to the gardening his mother does a lot of canning. As Jennifer walked us down stairs to our rooms for the weekend she gave me a peek into their storage room. I about died. I thought I was doing pretty good with my food storage, yea not so much. Susan puts me to shame. She was so kind and told me to take a few bottles when I went home. Saturday morning we got up and did a session in the Draper Temple. It was nice to go do a session up there because that is the Temple that Jennifer will be married in, and I know there won't be time to get a session in over the weekend she is married. After the temple we headed back to the Garduno's to have Jenn's bridal shower. It was so nice to see Jordan's family up there that we haven't seen in so long. Jennifer got some fun things from the shower and might I add some very creative gifts. Jordan's Cousin Emily, Aunt Pam, Grandma Austin & Mom
Jeff's nieces helping Jenn with her gifts
This little women is giving to all the bride's in the Garduno family! (Ironing board, broom, mop, oven mitts, apron, toilet brush, kitchen spatula's and measuring utensils)
Another Aunt gave Jenn this bouquet with flowers and lots of kitchen gadgets.
Saturday night we hung around the house and play card games. Sunday we went over to my cousin's house to do a trial run on Jennifer's hair. Cortnie did a great job. After that was done we headed home. At about Beaver we started to notice the haze over the mountains. Vaunette and I both thought there was no way this smoke was coming from the California fires. As we got closer and closer to Parown it was really getting bad and we could smell the smoke in the car. Once we stopped for gas we found out there was a fire in the New Harmony mountains. It was quit an amazing site to see. I finally made it home to a very exhausted husband and two excited children. It is a great feeling to have your children run into your arms because they have missed you so much. Here are a few pictures from the weekend with daddy.Sorry the picture is from Jordan's phone!

MORE SWIMMING

I know you are probably tired of the swimming pictures. Pretty much all we have done this summer is swim. This weekend was great because DAD was home and he went swimming with us.
They did land on the tub, but then bounced right out of it
Jordan and Rylan started to get creative with the tube
Rylan was trying so hard to hold the tube for dad.
Paislee enjoys the hot tub a lot more than the big pool. She had so much fun with Grandma Coache and Aunt Jenn
Jordan doing flips while holding on the tub!!!
Rylan talked grandma into getting into the big pool. Mind you it was raining and not as warm as we would have liked
Paislee was not to excited to go float with dad

HE IS HOME

My husband has been out of town sense June 26th and finally returned home last night at midnight. The kids are going to be so excited to see him home when they wake up this morning. Eight weeks with out him was just way to long and hard. Sorry about the boring blogging lately but I really didn't want anyone to know that I was home alone the last two months. I know kind of lame, but I get a little worried. He was supposed to be gone for about a week and that sure was not the case. A doctor here in town bought a cabin in Paniguich Lake and need the whole thing remodeled. They started off with 6 guys and by the time the cabin was finished Jordan had to call his best friend to come up and help him finish, everyone had headed home. My husband is not one to quit on a job he has started. While he was gone I thought I would have time to get my scrapbooking room all set up and also get so much done around the house. It has been eight weeks and I went in the room long enough to change the bedding on the bed, but I have not even started on the scrapbooking part. Being a single parent is not easy. I love my husband and have always acknowledged how much he does around the house, but dang. Jordan does a lot. Just trying to keep up with the kids was making me crazy. I have wonderful, but yet oh so busy children. I never realized how much my husband spoils me. The kids missed him a lot. It took a few weeks for them to really care that he was gone but this last two weeks was really hard on them. Jordan came home twice and I went up there once with the kids and once on my own. These pictures were from the last time he came home. The kids would not let him out of their sight.

ANOTHER WEEKEND AT THE POOL

We spent another weekend at the pool. My children are turning into little fish. Paislee is starting to enjoy the water a little more. She loved the pool we went to on Friday. We went over to my girl friend's parents house. They have a beach front entrance and she loved it. Rylan is getting so brave. He was jumping off of the rocks like it was no big deal. I was more nervous than he was.
Rylan and Carter

Saturday we headed over to my aunt's house. The kids just love Aunt Peggy.

A SWIMMING WEEKEND

We spent Friday and Saturday at the pool. Rylan has really started to swim. He is no longer using his life jacket. Each time we go he gets a little more brave.

Paislee does not enjoy the water.
She spends most of her time in the Jacuzzi

Paislee and mom headed down the slide. She hated every minute of it, but I did make her do it twice.

BEST HUSBAND EVER

I truly have the best husband ever. Anyone who knows me, knows I always have my camera in my purse. I love to take pictures and capture every moment I can on camera. Jordan has to have a camera for his job. He takes pictures of the work he does to send to California. Therefore he has his own camera to do this. Well back in April both of our cars were broken into in our front yard, I might add. The thief's took his camera. We have now been sharing a camera. My husband works in dirty houses and he also is doing yard maintenance, so the camera has been dropped a few times, the lens is now always dirty and he has the camera pretty much every day. Therefore not in my purse, like I enjoy. We have now gone on two trips where the camera comes with a dead battery. He thinking I charge the battery and me thinking he charged it. I have been trying really hard not to complain because money has been extremely tight right now and I know we can not afford to go get a camera. Although I found one that I really liked. My wonderful husband saved up the money to buy me a camera and I love it! He went all out with an extra battery, and a car charger for the battery. No more trips with a dead battery! This camera does video and pictures. Both in High Definition. I could not have asked for anything better. Thank you Jordan!

Just a few pictures I took yesterday

ALICE

When I was pregnant with Paislee I didn't want Rylan to feel left out so I decided to get him a little hamster. Sally was a great little friend to Rylan. She took more abuse than any little hamster should ever have to go through. Sally loved Rylan as much as Rylan loves her. Well Sally passed away a couple of weeks ago. Rylan was so sad but then was ready for a new pet. He kept insisting that he wanted a guinea pig. Jordan put a veto on that one. So I took him to the pet store and we ended up with another hamster. She is very fast and the guy could not even catch her. I really tried to get Rylan to go to another pet store to get a hamster that was a little less wild, but he wasn't going to leave that store without a new friend. So we got her and he is having a hard time catching her to be able to hold her. Hopefully Alice will slow down the more he does hold her.

***I am sorry for the poor picture quality, they were taken from my phone***

A NEW ADVENTURE

Well you see, I thought I blogged about this forever ago, but it seems I was wrong. A few months back Jordan and I decided we needed to start a garden. We have a nice size back yard that is just dirt. We couldn't really afford to put a back yard in right now, so we went with a garden. It was great, Jordan watered it every night and it was kind of fun to watch the plants grow. Well now it is my responsibility to make sure the garden gets watered. I have only had one tomato plant die. To be honesty he was a little guy and I just don't think he could handle the 110 degree heat.
