ROAD TRIP

My mom called New Years Eve day and asked what are plans were for the night.  We had none and as she was telling me what my sister's were doing, she said Jessica had gone to California and was going to go to Sea World tomorrow.  There was a deal that if you bought your ticket Jan. 1st it was good for all of 2012.  I told her let's go.  She laughed at me, she had gotten home from California at 1am that morning and knew my dad and brother would never go for it.  She told me if I could get my brother to go she would talk to my dad.  Little did my mom know that the day before my BROKE brother had text me to wish me Happy Birthday and told me he was going to give me the best present money couldn't buy.  Well, I got him!  I reminded him  of this text and told him I wanted him to go with us to Sea World today with NO whining or complaining for 36 hours.  He said he would and was actually excited to be out of Vegas for New Years.  The only thing was Maggie (the girl friend) had to come.  I had to do a lot of sweet talking to get my husband to come, he had a lot of work to do the next week to make up for going but I am so glad he came with us.   At 2pm we all loaded in the cars and headed to San Diego.  The kids were so excited, they actually travelled pretty well.  Once we got down there we went over the bridge to Coronado island to watch the fireworks.  That was a joke.  The fog was so bad that we could see NO fireworks.  It was absolutely terrible driving over the bridge when the fog was so low you could not see the light on the car in front of you and could barely see the wall of the bridge next to you.  We will never be driving on a bridge with fog like that again.  Nothing is worth seeing that bad!

This is how my dad likes to start vacations, a good old fashion wrestling match!

Axtan actually enjoyed watching all the animals
This is how I finally got Axtan to take a nap.  I had to hold him so he could watch Shamu!
My mom bought a bucket of 100 rings.  Do you think anyone of these fools could get a ringer?!?!
NOPE
Although it was 75 degrees, Sea World had a snowy wonderland for the kids!
It was a very quick trip but a very fun trip!  We left at 2pm on Sat. and got home at 2am Mon, but it was worth it!

BIRD SANCTUARY

After our great night out for my birthday we met my in-laws at the Bird Sanctuary the next day to pick up the kids.  My father in law has been volunteering there.  It was fun to see all the work he has put in to make is a nicer and safer place for all the animals.  The kids love to go see all the birds.

30 on the 30th

Birthday's are ALWAYS very important to me, but this year was my Golden Birthday 30 on the 30th! Not to mention a BIG birthday so I wanted to make sure it was fun.  Fun doesn't even describe my day! My good friend Rachel went above and beyond for my birthday.  She started by surprising me with a lunch with friends from the ward.  Being that my birthday is during the holidays their were only a few ladies but I still had a great time.  She also managed to get all three of my sisters there too!

After lunch we went shopping "Charming Charlies"
Once we got home from that I took the kids over to my mother-in-laws for a sleep over.  When I came home these beautiful flowers were waiting for me.
One of my favorite restaurants is Benihana's in the Hilton so that's were I chose for dinner.
Kes and Emmit sliding ice across the hot grill
There is always a show when we eat there and this time the chef made Jordan catch an egg on a spachela.  Needless to say the egg cracked everywhere.
I love you out of the fried rice
The chef told me I needed to trust him, he was going to throw the bowl of rice in my hands.
Luckily he tossed it up and then caught it and set it in my hands

This is a statue in the restaurant and I felt it needed to be covered!
