EASTER EXTRAVAGANZA

We started our Easter festivities last Sunday. My parents were supposed to be leaving town so we decided to dye eggs with the family after Sunday dinner. The kids were excited because it was Portlynn and Harlee's first time dying eggs.
Wednesday my mom wanted to give the grandkids a little Easter party. We decorated cupcakes had water balloon races and hunted for eggs.
Please excuse the naked child. She got green dye all over her white shirt. This is what the babies did while we played in the water Saturday, I so nicely invited my family over to my Aunt Peggy's house for her Easter party. Growing up my Grandma Zobrist ALWAYS had the best Easter party. We dyed eggs, she heated the swimming pool and we had a BBQ. Peggy was doing the same thing for her grand kids and because my family was all supposed to be out of town I asked her if we could join in on the fun. Well my family decided not to leave town so they all also join in on Peggy's party. I felt bad for having the whole family crash her party but it was a lot of fun. It gives my the kids a chance to play with kids their own age. After our Easter party we headed over to Grandma Coache's to dye eggs with them. Easter morning of course the Easter Bunny made it to our house. Grandma and Grandpa Coache came over to make sure the kids found all the eggs. They also came for breakfast.

EASTER FLOWERS

My visiting teachers brought me the cutest flowers for Easter. I decided to copy the idea and give them to my mom, grandma and mother-in-law for Easter. It has chocolate bunnys and eggs in the flowers.

OUR GARDEN

This year in Young Women's our Young Women's president felt very strongly that the girls needed to learn how to grow a garden. She asked all the girls to plant something, whether it be one little pot on the porch or a whole garden in the back yard. She felt it was important for the girls to learn how to become self sufficient in these time. Jordan and I have tried a few years for a garden and last year was the best we had done, and all we really got was A VERY LOT of cherry tomatoes. This year I am hoping that we will do much better. We planted purple onions, yellow onions, green onions, golden bell peppers, radishes, lettuce, carrots, artichoke, cherry and big tomatoes, cucumber, zucchini squash, parsley, chives, and dill. I was amazed we got all that and only spent $26. Wish us luck because I am hoping we can use this food all summer. We will hopefully be getting a lemon tree soon also.

RYLAN'S FIRST T-BALL GAME

Rylan's first T-ball game was Friday night. It was so cute to watch the little boys out there trying their best. Rylan hit really well and he played short stop the whole game. I am proud to say that he currectly ran from home to 1st base instead of 3rd like a few other kids did.

PORTLYNN

We had the opportunity to watch Portlynn yesterday for about 7 hours. I don't know who had more fun, the kids or me. She was so good and I was still able to get a lot done around the house. I am always worried that three children would be way to over whelming. I am happy to say I think I can handle it.

3 MORE PROJECTS

The Beehives gave a surprise baby shower to one of the other advisers in the young women's so I decided to try the diaper cake again. I did a few things different this time. I think it turned out better than the last. It was a little difficult because she did not find out the sex of the baby so I couldn't do a few things that I like to do, but it still was cute. My sister thought we could get creative and make cute hair bows. I finally got brave enough to try them and I think we did a good job. I feel stupid for how easy they really were to make. Paislee is loving the new flowers. We had our third Craft Night last week. I am loving how cute everything turns out. We made Easter Eggs that I have to thank my wonderful husband for taking the time to cut out for us.

My sister-in-law was saying she didn't have any spring decorations for her house so I made her a set of eggs for her birthday! By the way Jenn, yours are in the mail!!!
