ALICE

When I was pregnant with Paislee I didn't want Rylan to feel left out so I decided to get him a little hamster. Sally was a great little friend to Rylan. She took more abuse than any little hamster should ever have to go through. Sally loved Rylan as much as Rylan loves her. Well Sally passed away a couple of weeks ago. Rylan was so sad but then was ready for a new pet. He kept insisting that he wanted a guinea pig. Jordan put a veto on that one. So I took him to the pet store and we ended up with another hamster. She is very fast and the guy could not even catch her. I really tried to get Rylan to go to another pet store to get a hamster that was a little less wild, but he wasn't going to leave that store without a new friend. So we got her and he is having a hard time catching her to be able to hold her. Hopefully Alice will slow down the more he does hold her.

A NEW ADVENTURE

Well you see, I thought I blogged about this forever ago, but it seems I was wrong. A few months back Jordan and I decided we needed to start a garden. We have a nice size back yard that is just dirt. We couldn't really afford to put a back yard in right now, so we went with a garden. It was great, Jordan watered it every night and it was kind of fun to watch the plants grow. Well now it is my responsibility to make sure the garden gets watered. I have only had one tomato plant die. To be honesty he was a little guy and I just don't think he could handle the 110 degree heat.

WEDDING TIME

This past week my sister-in-law got engaged. We are all so excited for her. Saturday she came into town so we could go dress shopping. We had a great time, and we even found THE DRESS. As we were both walking into the store together it was sitting on a manikin and we both said she had to try that dress on. It was definitely the one for her. We were also able to get the brides maids dress this weekend. Here are a few pictures from the day, but I won't tell which dress she chose!!!

FISHING TRIP

This last weekend we went up to Eagle Valley, in the middle of Nevada. It was about a 3 1/2 hour drive. We left Thursday night and headed to the lake. Jordan's parents had left that morning so they had already gotten the camp setup. It was 3 fun days of fishing and camping!!! For those of you that don't know my idea of camping is staying in a cabin and showering every night. I truly do not enjoy camping. Paislee is defiantly my daughter. She hated the tent and the sleeping bags. She woke up about every 45 minutes all 3 nights. If the sleeping bag got to close to her face she would freak out. Not just a little crying a total bloody murder screaming. Rylan and Jordan and a really good time and that is why we went. Rylan caught 4 fish and had a great time realling them in. Although he didn't want to touch the fish.

Jordan took the kids into a cave that they thought was really cool.

BOYS WILL BE BOYS

Rylan had his friend Hunter come over today. They wanted to jump on the trampoline with the water on. I figured it was hot outside and that would be a fun thing for them to do. I was in the kitchen sweeping the floor and just kinda keeping an eye on them. I went up stairs long enough to do Paislee's hair, five minutes at the very most, and this is what I came back to. They had mud from their heads to their toes. It was not only all over them, but they had been throwing mud balls at the dogs. They got back onto the trampoline so they could get all the mud off of them.

OUR LITTLE TALKER

Paislee has been very much in love with the telephone lately. All she wants to do is call Grandma or call Aunt. Well we can only half the time get Rylan to talk on the phone. He is much to busy playing. Jordan's mom has been out of town this week and the kids have really missed her. Yesterday after listening to Paislee asked to call Grandma Coache all day. I really mean all day, about every ten to fifteen minutes she would say "Call Grandma" So when Jordan got home last night I had him call his mom. Paislee talked for a few minutes, but then Rylan wanted a turn. After about five minutes we went looking for him. This is what we found

For a little boy that doesn't like to talk on the phone, he was sure comfortable.

MEMORIAL FUN

We took the kids Thursday night and headed for Parown, UT for Memorial Weekend. I could not believe how much fun the kids had. We went into Cedar Friday and then just hung out around the house waiting for everyone else to come. It was so nice to just enjoy the weather. Saturday we went on the usual ride up to Brian Head, about 19 miles. Well this time it wasn't so usual. It was a great ride up to the top, a little cold but not to bad. We went to the Pizza place in Brian Head and as we were getting ready to head back down the mountain it started to rain. Well that only lasted a few minutes and then it started to hail. It was the worst ride I have ever taken. Jordan, Rylan, Paislee and I were all on the same bike, so we were already uncomfortable, plus add in the hail, it was bad. Luckily Paislee fell asleep so I turned her around so our tummys were together and then zipped her into my jacket, so she didn't get cold. Rylan on the other hand had a great time. He was in front of Jordan and was loviong every minute of it. Jordan kept telling him to keep his head down so the hail would just hit his helmet but Rylan let Jordan know that he wanted to catch the hail on his tung. He is such a boy. Once we had about 8 miles left on this joyus ride it just rained, and with the rain came the mud. Here are a few pictures, but it doesn't do justice as to what we looked like.

Yes that is mud all the way up Vaunette's leg!

Sunday we took the kids up to Yankee Meadows. They had so much fun playing in the river.

Paislee was so excited as she walked a around and just collect little sticks, rocks and dandy lions she is growing up way to fast.

This little yellow 4-wheeler has been in my family for 25 years. My mom has pictures of each of us girls on this bike when we were Rylan's age. My father-in-law worked on it for a long time to get it running again. We couldn't get Rylan off of it this weekend.

Once Paislee saw brother having so much fun, she wanted to go too.

By the end of the weekend they would not get off of the 4-wheeler. Paislee just kept telling Rylan she wanted to go again.

DISNEYLAND

This last weekend we had a great time down in Disneyland. We took the kids along with Jordan's parents, my sister Julie and her husband Jake down to play in Disneyland. Jordan's parents had not been there for about thirteen years. It's pretty sad when my 4 year old is telling his grandparents about rides they have never even heard of. We left Thursday afternoon and headed to Rancho Cucamango (that's were Aunt Shauna lives, she has a crazy dog Mojo that Rylan thinks is just great). We got up and headed to Disneyland (about 30 minutes) Friday morning. The kids had so much fun. This was the first year that Rylan got to go on some of the bigger rides. He still says Dumbo is his favorite ride, but I think he liked Splash Mountain a lot. Paislee was in heaven over by Pooh country. She got to see Pooh, Eeyore, and Tigger.

She did so good throughout the day. Every ride she went on she want to go again. After the fire works Julie and I took the kids back to the hotel and the other 4 adults headed off to play Buzz Light Year. It was such a compitition to see who could get the highest points. I think they were able to ride it 5 times between 10:30pm and 12am.

Paislee with Grandpa Bobo

The boys decided to take the kids on the balloon ride. There was no way Julie and I were going on that thing!!!

The next morning we got to sleep in a little and then head over to Disney California. I think the highlight of that trip was going on Raging Rapids. Rylan laughed so hard as Aunt got completely soaked and he was barley wet at all. After Disney California was closed Paislee and Aunt went to bed, Rylan and I went to the swimming pool and of course Jordan, Jake, Vaunette and Bobo headed back to Disneyland for some more Buzz, mind you it was 10:30pm by this time. Bob ended up being the over all winner of the weekend. I think it really killed Jordan that his dad ended up winning.
We headed home Sunday morning so that we could make dinner for my mom for mothers day. We had a great weekend together. To me going to Disneyland just keeps getting better and better. Jordan always grumbles a little when I tell him it's that time of year again. But as you can see he spent more time over there than me and the kids. Both of my children have been to Disneyland every year of their lives. Someone told me I was spoiling my children and I just laughed. Growing up I went to Disneyland twice a year with my family and my moms sisters family. We still sit around and talk about some of those trips. I'm not spoiling my children I am giving them memories that will last a life time.

HAPPY EASTER

The Holidays keep getting more and more fun. As the kids get older they are really starting to understand what is going on. We ended up dying eggs three times and they just loved it. Although I will say I think Jordan was way more into it than the kids.

Paislee was so determined to dye her own eggs. When she went to get her blue egg she would not let Julie help her sooooo, this is what her hand ended up looking like. She wasn't quite sure what happened.

Rylan was so excited to see that not only does Santa bring toys but so does the Easter Bunny!
I have to give a big thanks to my mom for doing a little alteration to Paislee's temple dress to make it into her Easter dress.

MONSTER JAM

You can go ahead and say it THE COACHE'S ARE WHITE TRASH. For some reason we just love the Monster Trucks. I would like to say it is just because Rylan loves them so much, but no it is all of us. The announcer asked everyone to stand that has gone to more than two Monster Jams, then three, then four, and as Jordan and I looked at each other we realized this was our sixth time going to the Monster Jam. I'm not to sure why we love them so much but I guess there is something to be said for getting to ram your truck into things. I know every time I see one of those OBAMA BIDEN 2008 stickers on someones car driving down the street I want to ram my Sequoia into the back of there car. We had a great time spending the whole day hanging out together.
